Objectives of the Economics Workshop
The workshop aims to:
- Strengthen Conceptual Understanding of key economic concepts and theories prescribed in the CBSE Class XI and XII Economics curriculum.
- Enhance Pedagogical Skills by introducing innovative, learner-centred, and competency-based teaching strategies for Economics.
- Promote Experiential Learning through the use of case studies, real-life economic issues, simulations, data interpretation, and classroom activities.
- Develop Competency-Based Assessment Practices aligned with CBSE guidelines, including the preparation of assertion-reason, case-based, source-based, and application-oriented questions.
- Improve Teaching of Statistical and Analytical Skills by integrating graphs, diagrams, data analysis, and interpretation into classroom instruction.
- Integrate Contemporary Economic Issues such as inflation, sustainable development, digital economy, financial inclusion, globalisation, and government policies to make learning more relevant.
- Encourage Effective Use of Technology and AI Tools for lesson planning, content creation, assessment, data visualization, and classroom engagement.
