Objectives of the Business Studies & Accountancy Workshop
The workshop aims to:
- Strengthen Subject Knowledge by deepening teachers' understanding of key concepts in Business Studies and Accountancy as prescribed in the CBSE curriculum.
- Enhance Pedagogical Competence by introducing learner-centred, competency-based, and experiential teaching methodologies for effective classroom instruction.
- Promote Conceptual Clarity in accounting principles, financial statements, business processes, management functions, entrepreneurship, and corporate governance.
- Develop Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills through the effective teaching of numerical questions, case studies, business scenarios, and financial analysis.
- Integrate Competency-Based Assessment by designing and evaluating case-based, assertion-reason, source-based, and application-oriented questions aligned with CBSE guidelines.
- Improve Teaching of Practical Components such as journal entries, ledger posting, financial statement preparation, ratio analysis, cash flow statements, and project work.
- Promote Experiential and Activity-Based Learning by incorporating business simulations, role plays, case discussions, financial data analysis, and collaborative classroom activities.
